Secondary images: Used on the front cover to promote other featuresin the magazine.
Often used when readers need to be enticed into buying the magazine.

Coverlines: Located at various points on the front cover telling the readers about various contents in the magazine. Front cover often has 6-12 coverlines in an attempt to lure different readers into different things.

Mode of address: This is a way for magazines to communicate with the readers.
